Bhubaneswar, July 31 -- Odisha Development Commissioner Anu Garg, who headed the high-level administrative inquiry into the tragic stampede near Sri Gundicha Temple during the Puri Rath Yatra on June 29, submitted the report to Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi today.

Three devotees - two women and a 70-year-old man - lost their lives, while six others sustained injuries in the early morning stampede near Saradhabali. The incident occurred as a massive crowd had gathered to catch a glimpse (darshan) of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Devi Subhadra on their chariots parked in front of the Gundicha Temple.
