Sambalpur, Jan. 11 -- Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, on the second day of his two-day visit to Sambalpur on Sunday, laid the foundation stone for a Rs 451.24 crore mega water supply project in Sambalpur city with an objective to supply safe drinking water to the people of the district 24x7.
The initiative on completion will benefit approximately 5 lakh people across 41 wards. "This ambitious project will not only solve the drinking water problems but also bring a qualitative improvement in the standard of living for Sambalpur residents," said Chief Minister Majhi in a statement.
