Bhubaneswar, Aug. 16 -- Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi today launched flight services from Bhubaneswar to Jharsuguda at Biju Patnaik International Airport.

This 76-seater Star Air aircraft has started operating under the Odisha New Destination Policy with the support of Viability Gap Funding (VGF) under the aviation scheme.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister handed over the boarding pass to the first passenger at the airport.

It is worth noting that currently the aircraft will operate five days a week - Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

This aircraft will reach Jharsuguda from Bhubaneswar in just 45 minutes. It will soon be upgraded to a daily flight service.
