Bhubaneswar, Oct. 19 -- Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi today virtually laid the foundation stones for 471 Gram Panchayat (GP) offices across 28 districts and distributed the first installment under the Antyodaya Housing Scheme.

A total of 48,693 beneficiaries received the first installment of Rs. 40,000 each under the scheme. Foundation stones were laid in all districts except Nuapada and Kalahandi.

Launched on March 30, 2025, the Antyodaya Housing Scheme aims to construct five lakh houses for poor and underprivileged families, with a total outlay of Rs. 7,550 crore for the period 2024-25 to 2027-28.
