Bhubaneswar, Dec. 3 -- Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has instructed officials to accelerate the expenditure of the District Mineral Foundation (DMF) funds and ensure the provision of complete basic amenities in regions surrounding mining zones, along with strict pollution control measures.
According to official sources, by the end of October this year, Odisha had collected a total of Rs.34,052 crore from 11 DMF districts, of which around 55 percent has been utilized.
Chairing a review meeting on the DMF, the Chief Minister directed departmental secretaries to submit both the audit and annual reports for each district-level DMF.
