Bhubaneswar, Feb. 14 -- Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Friday announced a new scheme, Lakshapati Didi Sahayika Yojana, aimed at addressing the issues faced by community support staff, who play a crucial role at the panchayat level.
Making a statement in the Odisha Assembly, Majhi said the scheme would benefit over 62,000 community support staff, ensuring they receive their salaries starting from April 2024.
The community support staff includes Community Resource Persons for Community Mobilization (CRP-CM), Master BookKeepers (MBK), Bank Mitras, and Prani Mitras.
A total of 62,341 community support staff were appointed in the state under the Odisha Livelihood Mission.
