Bhubaneswar, July 29 -- Odisha Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja today directed officials to strengthen the Emergency Response Support System (ERSS-112) by equipping emergency vehicles with modern technologies such as mobile data terminals, smart phones, and GPS systems.
Accompanied by State Director General of Police Yogesh Bahadur Khurania, Ahuja visited the ERSS centre at Mancheswar and conducted a comprehensive review of its operations, management, and modernization efforts.
Emphasizing the need for rapid and effective emergency response, the Chief Secretary instructed that ERSS be further reinforced by deploying additional personnel, increasing the number of emergency vehicles, and integrating advanced communication tools.
