Bhubaneswar, March 21 -- The Odisha Cabinet has approved the proposal for 'Odisha State Road Policy 2025' designed for effective implementation and monitoring of the road network across the state.
The cabinet also approved "Odisha State Highways Authority Bill-2025" to meet the increasing need for efficient and safe road infrastructure in Odisha.
It provides for the formation of an autonomous body called "Odisha State Highways Authority to ensure the overall development of major road projects.
Although the cabinet approved these new policies on Thursday, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi tabled the cabinet decision before the State Assembly on Friday
