Bhubaneswar, Feb. 12 -- The Odisha cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday approved a new scheme called "Swatantra Yuva Udyami" for urban youth to facilitate self employment.
Under the new scheme Rs.1 lakh interest free loan will be provided to unemployment and underemployment urban youth of the state within the age group of 18 to 35 years.
However, for special groups such as SC, ST,PWD and Transgender,the age limit has been extended up to 40 years.
The interest fee loan will be provided for setting up gainful employment ventures, micro enterprises suitable to their skills ,training , aptitude and local conditions.
