Bhubaneswar, Nov. 21 -- In a major move to curb theft, smuggling, and illegal mining in the state, the Odisha Cabinet on Friday approved the enactment of the Odisha Minerals (Prevention of Illegal Mining and Regulation of Trading, Transportation & Storage) Rules, 2025.
These new rules will replace the existing framework under the Odisha Minerals (Prevention of Theft, Smuggling and Illegal Mining and Regulation of Possession, Storage, Trading and Transportation) Rules, 2007.
