Bhubaneswar, June 6 -- The Odisha Cabinet on Friday approved a new scheme called the Mukhyamantri Sahari Bikash Yojana (MSBY) to undertake various urban infrastructure projects.
The Cabinet meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, proposed an expenditure of Rs.6,000 crore over five financial years, from 2025-26 to 2029-30, for the implementation of the scheme.
Briefing newsmen after the meeting, Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja said that the new scheme aims to enhance urban infrastructure and improve the revenue model with an integrated approach to urban development in line with the Viksit Odisha 2036 vision.
