Bhubaneswar, June 29 -- The BJP on Wednesday slammed the ruling BJD government in Odisha for the deteriorating law and order situation, farmers' problems, rise in incidents of women atrocities, large-scale unemployment, massive corruption, poor health services and financial mismanagement.

In a resolution passed at its party's state executive committee meeting, the BJP said the financial management of the state is a host of contradictions and plethora of confusion.

Though the government is claiming to have raised the size of the budget in fact the percentage of expenditure has gradually declined.

It said though Odisha is a revenue surplus state yet 49,500 government posts are lying vacant.
