Bhubaneswar, Feb. 12 -- The Odisha unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday launched a sharp attack on the Opposition Congress and Biju Janata Dal (BJD) for supporting the Bharat Bandh, accusing them of opposing progressive labour reforms and acting against the interests of workers.

Addressing mediapersons here, BJP spokesperson Anil Biswal asserted that the four new labour codes introduced by the Central Government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi are designed to safeguard workers' rights and modernise the country's labour framework.
