Bhubaneswar, March 30 -- The Odisha Assembly on Monday mourned the demise of former MLA Narayan Sahu, who passed away on March 27 at the age of 88.
Members cutting across party lines, joined Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida, in moving the obituary reference and expressing their condolences over his passing.
Sahu was elected to the Odisha Legislative Assembly twice, in 1971 and 1974, from the Pallahara Assembly constituency. He also served as a Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha, representing the Deogarh constituency in 1980.
Moving the obituary reference, Pravati Parida described Sahu as a great leader, stating that his death is a loss not only to his family but also to the state.
