Kendrapara, June 16 -- In yet another case of man-crocodile conflict in Odisha's coastal Kendrapara district, a 40-year-old woman went missing today after being dragged into the water by the reptile at Pania Jora, a spot connected to the Kharasrota river.
According to sources, Kajal Mohanty, a resident of Danladiha village under Koladiha Gram Panchayat in Aul police limits, was bathing at Pania Jora with her two daughters when a large saltwater crocodile suddenly attacked and dragged her into the river.
Upon receiving information, fire brigade personnel rushed to the spot and, with the help of local residents, launched a search and rescue operation. However, as of the last report, the woman remains untraced.
