Bhuabaneswar, Feb. 15 -- Two jawans of the Special Operation Group( SOG) of Odisha police trained in anti naxal operations were injured in a landmine explosion triggered by naxals inside the Nalikumpha forest in Boudh district on Thursday morning.

Police sources said the landmine planted by the red rebels exploded when the SOG Jawans were engaged in a combing operation to flush out the naxals hiding in the forest.

Two jawans who sustained injuries in the explosion were initially admitted to a local hospital but later shifted to Bhima Bhoi Medical College and Hospital in Bolangir.
