Bhubaneswar, Jan. 31 -- The Chief Judicial Magistrate of Khordha on Friday convicted two accused arms dealers and sentenced them to three years of imprisonment along with a fine for possessing illegal arms.

The two accused, identified as Basanta Moharana and Krushna Chandra Srichandan, were booked by the STF of Odisha Police under Section 25 of the Arms Act, 1959. Both were found guilty, convicted, and sentenced to three years of rigorous imprisonment along with a fine.

This case pertains to the seizure of five country-made SBML guns, one country-made 9mm pistol, one country-made revolver, three country-made single-shot pistols, and three country-made live ball ammunition, in addition to four live country-made cartridges. These were recov...
