Bhubaneswar, June 19 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to lay the foundation stone and inaugurate several key railway projects worth over Rs.2700 crore during his visit to Odisha on Friday.
According to East Coast Railway (ECoR) sources, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for the 3rd and 4th railway lines between Sarla and Sason.
This project is expected to ease traffic congestion on the busy Jharsuguda-Sambalpur section and support industrial development in the region.
He will also inaugurate the newly constructed 73 km-long railway line between Sonepur and Purunakatak, which is part of the larger 301 km Khurda Road-Balangir railway line.
