Bhubaneswar, Aug. 18 -- Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo today taking part in a high level meeting discussed the proposal to open a Central Agricultural University in Sambalpur as per the Central Agricultural University Act, 1992.
If everything goes the right way and the institution is established, it will be India's fourth Central Agricultural University.
It will help in producing graduates and postgraduates for global competitiveness in agriculture and allied sciences and will help in increasing productivity and developing sustainable & profitable farming systems in this sector, said officials of agriculture and farmers empowerment department.
