Bhubaneswar, Feb. 8 -- The Odisha Cabinet has decided to construct three bridges over rivers to ease traffic congestion and improve inter-district communication.

The cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, on Friday night approved the construction of a second bridge over the Kharasrota River at Bharigada on the Cuttack-Kharasrota route, parallel to the existing bridge connecting Aul to Chandbali.

This project aims to ease traffic congestion on State Highway 9A (SH-9A), which connects Kendrapara to Bhadrak.

The bridge will provide direct connectivity to Dangamala and Bhitarakanika National Park, accommodating the increasing traffic to these tourist destinations.
