Bhubaneswar, Dec. 15 -- The Economic Offences Wing (EOW), Bhubaneswar has arrested Gautam Kumar of Rohini, New Delhi, in connection with a multi-crore job fraud case.
The accused has been booked under Sections 420, 467, 468, 471, and 120-B of the IPC, read with Section 66(C) of the IT Act.
Following his arrest, Gautam Kumar was produced before the Court of the Metropolitan Magistrate, Rohini, New Delhi, and brought to Odisha on transit remand. He was subsequently produced before the Designated Court under the OPID Act, 2011, Cuttack on Monday.
EOW sources stated that the case was registered based on a written report by Sasmita Sahoo, DSP, EOW, who was investigating a fake job advertisement published in the Odia daily Dharitri in 2022.
