Bhubaneswar, Dec. 5 -- The Odisha Government and the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) have signed a Technical Assistance Agreement aimed at improving access to social protection for vulnerable migrant workers and their families.
The partnership focuses on ensuring uninterrupted access to essential services-such as food, health, nutrition, education, and labour schemes-as households migrate within the state.
The agreement was signed by Chithra Arumugam, Additional Chief Secretary of the Labour and Employees' State Insurance Department, on behalf of the Odisha Government, and Elisabeth Faure, Country Director of WFP in India, in the presence of Development Commissioner Anu Garg.
