Bhubaneswar, April 3 -- Odisha has become the first state in the country to provide an on-call Artificial Insemination (AI) service, marking a significant milestone in dairy development and enhancing milk production across the state.
Dairy farmers in Odisha can now receive timely assistance for animal breeding services, including on-the-spot artificial insemination for their cows and buffaloes. They can avail themselves of this service from the comfort of their homes, official sources said on Thursday.
The Fisheries and Animal Resources Development Department has urged dairy farmers and cattle owners to take full advantage of the toll-free number 155333 to book an artificial insemination service for their dairy animals.
