Colombo, March 6 -- In a major development for women's cricket fans, Sri Lanka is set to host a high-profile ODI tri-nation series featuring India and South Africa during April and May.

Meanwhile, India's batting sensation Smriti Mandhana has been honoured with the ICC Women's ODI Cricketer of the Year award for the second time, further cementing her legacy in the sport.

The tri-nation tournament will commence on April 27, with the hosts facing India in the opening encounter. Each team will play a total of four matches in the league stage, and the top two teams will qualify for the final, scheduled to take place on May 11.
