Pune, Jan. 13 -- Serious objections have been raised over alleged procedural irregularities in the defamation case filed against Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, in connection with remarks concerning Vinayak Damodar Savarkar. The objection was submitted by advocate Milind Dattatraya Pawar on behalf of Rahul Gandhi before the MP/MLA First Class Special Court in Pune.
The defence contended that grave procedural lapses occurred during the recording of the complainant's evidence. The complainant, Satyaki Savarkar, has completed his chief examination; however, the defence has alleged that the judicial process followed during the testimony was flawed and contrary to law.
