Nagpur, Aug. 29 -- Several organisations representing the Other Backward Classes (OBC) have announced a chain hunger strike from tomorrow at Constitution Square in Nagpur to oppose the demand for Maratha reservation under the OBC quota.

The organisations, under the banner 'Save Reservation", warned that if the state government succumbed to pressure to alter the existing OBC quota framework, a massive agitation would be launched in Mumbai.

Addressing a meeting of OBC organisations yesterday, Dr Babanrao Taywade, national president of the OBC Federation, accused Maratha leader Manoj Jarange Patil of attempting to pressure the government through his fast at Mumbai's Azad Maidan from today.
