Nagpur, Aug. 30 -- The National OBC Federation on Friday launched a chain hunger strike at Constitution Square in Nagpur, opposing the demand for granting Maratha community reservation from the existing OBC quota.

The agitation, led by the Federation's National President Dr. Babanrao Taywade, witnessed the participation of a large number of OBC activists.

The protest comes in the backdrop of social activist Manoj Jarange's ongoing agitation in Mumbai, where the demand has been raised to extend OBC quota benefits to the Maratha community.
