New Delhi, July 16 -- Amidst rapid globalisation, the constantly evolving food culture has highlighted the need to preserve and promote India's rich culinary traditions, Additional Secretary and Director General at the Ministry of Tourism Suman Billa said today, urging young chefs to take the lead in bringing the nation's gastronomic legacy to the global forefront.



Billa was speaking at the grand curtain raiser event of the National Young Chef Competition (NYCC), organised by the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism here.
