Chennai, May 20 -- Paying glowing tributes to eminent Nuke scientist
M R Srinivasan, who passed away on Tuesday, the Atomic Energy Board
(AERB) termed him as a visionary, who leaves behind a legacy, leadership
and technical excellence.
In its message posted on its website, AERB paid its heartfelt tributes to
Padma Vibhushan, Late Dr. M. R. Srinivasan, former Chairman of the Atomic
Energy Commission (AEC) and Secretary, Department of Atomic Energy.
Dr. Srinivasan joined the DAE in September 1955 and began his distinguished
career working alongside Dr. Homi Bhabha on the construction of India's first
nuclear research reactor, Apsara, which achieved criticality in August 1956.
