Bhubaneswar, May 19 -- Nuclear energy has a crucial role to play in clean power generation, especially in light of the severe climate change challenges affecting every aspect of life, said Dr. A K Tyagi, a prominent nuclear scientist.
Dr. Tyagi, Dean and Senior Professor at the Homi Bhabha National Institute, Trombay, stated that the world is currently facing an environmental crisis, largely due to the way humanity has managed the environment over the past 200 years.
He pointed out that the concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere has already risen from 320 parts per million (ppm) to 430 ppm.
