Lucknow, Aug. 13 -- The National Students' Union of India (NSUI) staged a massive protest in Lucknow today, targeting the Election Commission Office over alleged voter fraud and suppression of opposition voices. The protest quickly escalated as demonstrators broke through police barricades and attempted to lay siege to the commission's office.

The protest led to intense scuffles between NSUI members and the police, lasting for nearly half an hour. Authorities eventually detained several protestors, dragging them into police vehicles. They were later released at Eco Garden Park.
