New Delhi, March 11 -- The Non- Resident Indians (NRIs) are the ambassadors of the country's culture abroad, and play a crucial role in promoting India in their respective countries, BJP National Spokesperson Pratyush Kanth said while launching a coffee-table book on the Indians in Canada.

The book titled "Great Indo-Canadians", writte by a Toronto-based journalist, Gurmukh Singh, captures the life story of many Indo-Canadians who created businesses, and later returned to society in different forms.

According to Kanth, many of them promoted India's Yoga, Ayurveda and transcendental meditation in Canada.
