New Delhi, Feb. 26 -- Rahul Ravindran, Executive Director of Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA), said that the National Pension Scheme (NPS), introduced in 2003 and regulated by PFRDA, is a government-backed retirement savings plan open to all Indian citizens.
He said that its standout feature is its unbundled architecture, where responsibilities are distributed across multiple independent intermediaries, enhancing transparency, accountability and oversight.
