Imphal, Oct. 10 -- Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma, who is on a two-day visit to Manipur, said here today that the National People's Party (NPP), which was born in Manipur, wants to resolve the ongoing crisis in the state through talks.

Sangma is also the national president of NPP. He said he discussed the prolonged Manipur crisis with Governor AK Bhalla, representatives of various civil society organisations, and internally displaced persons (IDPs), and expressed his resolve to contribute to efforts aimed at restoring peace and normalcy in the state.
