Shillong, Dec. 2 -- Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Tuesday said that his National People's Party (NPP) is ready to face challenges in Manipur.

"Challenges will always be there. We hope that we will be able to convert those challenges into opportunities and grow as a party," Sangma said after felicitating newly appointed Manipur State President, Lorho S Pfoze at the NPP headquarters here in Meghalaya.

Manipur has been under President's Rule since February 13, 2025. It was extended in August 2025 for a period of six months.
