Bhubaneswar, Feb. 8 -- The notification for elections to three Rajya Sabha seats from Odisha was issued on Thursday.
Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw(BJP), Prashant Nanda, and Amar Patnaik (BJD)will be retiring as members of the upper house from Odisha in April next.
According to the notification, the last date for filing of nomination is February 15 and the last date for withdrawal is February 20. The polling will be held on February 27 and the counting of votes will be taken up at 5PM the same day.
Going by the strength of the ruling BJD in the Odisha Assembly it is likely that all the three candidates from the party will be elected.
