Lucknow, Feb. 20 -- Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) President Mayawati on Thursday described the budget presented by the Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh as disappointing and said it lacks adequate government intention-policy to remove inflation, poverty, unemployment, backwardness and to meet the basic needs of the common man.
Reacting on the budget on X, Mayawati wrote, "If the budget of 2025-26 presented by the UP government in the assembly today was more for the wider public interest and public welfare, it would have been better, whereas there is a lack of adequate government intention-policy to remove inflation, poverty, unemployment, backwardness and to meet the basic needs of the common man. How is true development possible?"
