Los Angeles, Aug. 15 -- Two-time Academy Award winner Denzel Washington has made it clear that Hollywood's highest honour no longer carries much personal weight for him.
The venerated actor, whose forthcoming Spike Lee drama "Highest 2 Lowest" premiered in cinemas on August 15 before debuting on Apple TV+ on August 22, reflected on his nearly five decades in theatre and film with a refreshing candour, reports DEADLINE.
"I've been at this a long time, and there's times when I've won, shouldn't have won, didn't win, should have won," he said on Jake's Takes. "Man gives the award, God gives the award. I'm not that interested in Oscars. People say, 'Well, where do you keep it?' I say, 'Next to the other one.'"
