Chandigarh, Dec. 24 -- Swarnjit Singh Khalsa, the first Sikh mayor of Norwich in the United States, has drawn attention after hoisting Nishaan Sahib (Sikh flag) at his office, calling it a symbol of service and responsibility towards the community. Khalsa, who traces his roots to Jalandhar in Punjab, said the gesture reflects the values of service that Sikhism teaches.
