Belfast, March 4 -- Northern Ireland First Minister Michelle O'Neill advocated for investing in the country's public services rather than in weapons for Ukraine.
The Telegraph newspaper emphasised that on Sunday, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer had announced a deal with Ukraine, according to which the Thales defence plant in Belfast will provide Kiev with 5,000 air defence missiles - the amount of the agreement could reach 1.6 billion British pounds (about $2 billion).
"I think at a time like that, rather than buying weapons of war, I would rather see the money invested in public services," the Telegraph quoted O'Neill as saying during a speech in the regional parliament.
