Srinagar, July 16 -- Northern Army Commander Lt Gen Pratik Sharma today underscored the critical importance of sustained vigilance, enhanced training, and swift response capabilities to counter emerging threats and maintain operational superiority in Kashmir.
Army said Lt Gen Sharma, visited north and south Kashmir to assess the prevailing security scenario and combat readiness.
He also took an update on the ongoing "Operation Shiva" which has been launched by the Army in close coordination with the Civil Administration and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) to ensure the smooth and secure conduct of the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra.
