Agartala, Jan. 27 -- Northeast India's vibrant culinary heritage gained national spotlight during the Republic Day celebrations, as the President of India hosted a high tea at Rashtrapati Bhavan, featuring an array of traditional snacks from the region.

Among the highlighted delicacies were Tripura's Matabari Peda and Pati Sapta Pitha, Manipur's Black Rice Kheer, along with Narikol Laru, Til Pitha, and Til Laru from Assam. The menu also included Khapse from Arunachal Pradesh, beautifully showcasing the rich cultural and gastronomic traditions of Northeast India.
