Amaravati, Oct. 14 -- Conditions are becoming favourable for the further withdrawal of the southwest monsoon from the remaining parts of the country during the next two days, the Meteorological Centre here stated today .
In its daily weather report, the Centre said that with the setting in of easterly and northeasterly winds over the southern peninsular region and the south and adjoining central Bay of Bengal, the northeast monsoon rainfall activity is likely to commence over the southeast peninsular region during the same period.
The southwest monsoon is currently active over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam and weak over Rayalaseema, the report stated.
