Patna, Dec. 8 -- Bihar Government on Monday emphasised the need to further accelerate work on the major North Koel Reservoir irrigation project estimated to cost Rs 1,367.61 crore.
While reviewing the progress of the Project, the Chief Secretary Pratyaya Amrit, directed officials and implementing agencies to ensure that the project is completed within the stipulated timeline.
During the meeting, Water Resources Department Principal Secretary Santosh Kumar Mall gave a detailed presentation on the current status of the project.
He informed that 595 electric poles and one transformer obstructing the route of the right main canal have been successfully shifted.
