Molde (Norway), Feb. 14 -- Sixteen-year-old Michael Noonan struck a memorable winner on his debut for Shamrock Rovers as the Irish side beat Molde in the first leg of their Conference League play-off.

Noonan, aged 16 years and 197 days, became the youngest goalscorer in the competition's history when he converted Dylan Watts' cross just before the hour mark.

He is also thought to be the second youngest-ever goalscorer in Uefa main club competition, behind only former Aston Villa midfielder Nii Lamptey, who scored for Anderlecht in the Uefa Cup at the age of 16 years and 100 days, the BBC reported.
