Lucknow, Jan. 2 -- A district court issued a non-bailable warrant against KGMU resident doctor Ramizuddin Naik, also known as Ramiz Malik, who is accused of sexual exploitation and pressuring a woman doctor to convert her religion.
The order was passed on a police application, officials confirmed on Friday.
Lucknow Police have formed five teams to arrest the accused and are conducting raids across western Uttar Pradesh and parts of Uttarakhand.
Despite efforts over the past 15 days, the police have not been able to trace him. On Thursday, the victim's statement was recorded before a magistrate, where she reiterated the same allegations mentioned in her written complaint and FIR.
