Chennai, March 25 -- Tamil Nadu Chief Electoral Officer Ms Archana Patnaik on Wednesday said filing of nominations for the April 23 Assembly polls would begin on March 30 and the candidates will be having just a four day window to file their papers for 234 seats, in view of government holidays.
In a release here today, she said nominations for the General elections to elect the 234-member Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly, can be filed between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. from the Date of Notification, March 30, 2026 (Monday) till the last date for receipt of nominations, April 6, 2026 (Monday).
