No word from govt, says stampede victim's father
Bengaluru, June 10 -- "Our children died before our eyes. Is that not enough to at least deserve a visit or a word of comfort?" These searing words from BT Lakshman, the father of a child killed in the recent stampede, have laid bare the deep anguish and growing resentment among grieving families over what they allege is government apathy.
The father, speaking to the media, said no government representative, including the chief minister or his deputy, had visited or reached out to the family following the tragedy.
