Hyderabad, Dec. 31 -- Telangana Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao on Wednesday said the government is closely and continuously monitoring the supply of urea across Telangana and alleged that attempts are being made to create unnecessary panic among farmers despite abundant stocks in all districts.
In a statement, the Minister said that out of the total requirement of 10.40 lakh metric tonnes of urea for the ongoing Rabi season, about 4 lakh metric tonnes have already been supplied to farmers.
He pointed out that farmers have purchased nearly one lakh metric tonnes more urea this December compared to sales in December last year, reflecting adequate availability and timely supply.
