Sultanpur (UP), April 14 -- Former Rajasthan Governor Kalraj Mishra on Monday said that the new Waqf law aims to empower poor Muslims, and in the constitutional system of India, no state can refuse to implement the central law.
Talking to the reporters after attending a private programme in Sultanpur, the former Governor said that if any state says that we will not implement it, then it is a direct violation of the Constitution. "Waqf is the property of the poor. This law has been made after hours of discussion by MPs of all parties in Parliament," he said.
